What is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is a family that is a guardian or caretaker of a breeder dog during their breeding career and in retirement. Upon retirement, the breeder dog is spayed or neutered at our expense and live the rest of their life as a well-loved companion with their Forever Family.
What is a Guardian Breeder?
A select few of our Australian Labradoodle puppies are qualified to be breeders. Each qualified breeder must pass strict health and temperament guidelines as outlined by the Australian Labradoodle Association of America. When of age, the breeder dog may be selected to help produce a new litter of Australian Labradoodles.
How Does the Guardian Program Work?
Guardians adopt a breeder dog at a reduced price but Adams Farm Labradoodles retains all breeding rights. We ask that the Guardian Family is willing to provide a loving, caring, and responsible home for the rest of his/her life. While the Guardian Home is responsible for feeding and general veterinary care, Adams Farm Labradoodles provides Guardian Veterinary Health Insurance Coverage. Adams Farm is responsible for breeding, genetic testing, and puppy care expenses.
